ATLANTA, Ga.  – Jamie Martin (Spring Hill) was named Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Women's Tennis Player of the Week, while Mark Chigaazira (Benedict) earned Men's Tennis Player of the Week, released by the league office on Wednesday.

Chigaazira helped Benedict go 4-0 in rain-shortened SIAC roundup. The sophomore played No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles, winning all his matches. He defeated FVSU's Melvin Gibson 6-3, 1-0 (9-7) and Morehouse's Shelton Sutton 6-1, 6-1. He continued on to defeat Tuskegee's Jasari Cole 6-2, 2-1 and LeMoyne-Owen's Michael Zhou 6-3, 6-3. Benedict dropped just one game in the four matches at the roundup.
