Taylor McNeal reached base safely in her team-leading seventh-straight game in a 6-2 loss to Tuskegee University on Thursday afternoon at the SIAC Crossover.
Benedict falls to 2-12 overall and 1-3 in the SIAC.
Brianna Crosby was the only Lady Tiger to collect two hits on the game.
Marshallnae Bell went 1-3 with one run batted in, while also throwing all seven innings for Benedict, giving up four earned runs on six hits.
In the first inning, Bell singled to left field, driving in McNeal for the game's first run, giving Benedict a 1-0 advantage. Tuskegee then scored three runs between the third and fourth innings to take a 3-1 lead. The Lady Tigers added another run in the bottom of the fourth to close the gap to one.Tuskegee then scored three in the fifth inning to take a 6-2 lead.
The remainder of the SIAC Softball Crossover was canceled by the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
