BLUEFIELD, W. Va. – The Benedict Tigers shot nearly 59 percent and had a huge rebounding advantage as they defeated Bluefield State 102-90 on Saturday.
Tim Moore scored 25 points, hitting 11-of-18 shots, while
Brandon Beidleman added 21 points.
Malachi McCoy scored 18 points and matched his career-high with 18 rebounds for a double-double.
Marshaun West also had a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds.
The Tigers had a 56-33 rebounding advantage.
Benedict scored the first seven points of the game and never trailed to improve to 2-1 on the season. Bluefield State falls to 0-3.
The Tigers return to action on Tuesday, hosting Augusta University at 7:30 p.m.
