FAIRFIELD, Ala. – Benedict committed 41 turnovers, and Miles College scored 33 points off turnovers as the Lady Golden Bears defeated the Lady Tigers 64-46 on Thursday night in their final game before the holiday break.
Miles led from start to finish to improve to 6-2 overall and 3-1 in the SIAC. Benedict falls to 3-7 overall and 1-4 in the SIAC.

Taylor Christmas scored 12 points each to lead the Lady Tigers.
Miles topped Benedict in shooting percentage (39.7 percent to 27.7 percent), 3-point shooting percentage (46.2 percent to 22.7 percent) and free-throw shooting percentage (66.7 percent to 62.5 percent).
Miles started off the game with a 3-pointer and led 11-6 at the end of the first quarter. The Golden Bears increased the lead to 27-12 at the half and had a 20-point lead, 46-26, heading into the fourth quarter.
Benedict returns to action on Jan. 2 against Spring Hill College at 5:30 p.m. in the Benjamin E. Mays HRC Arena.
