COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College men's tennis team picked up its first win of the season with a 7-0 victory over Johnson & Wales University on Wednesday at the Columbia Tennis Center.
The Tigers, now 1-1 on the season, won all three doubles matches, including a hard-fought 6-4 victory at No. 1 doubles by
Mark Chigaazira and
Batsiraii Saurombe. Chigaazira then took a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 1 singles. Benedict dropped just three games in the other five matches.
Benedict will travel to take on Southern Wesleyan University on Saturday.
