COLUMBIA, S.C. – Central State snapped Benedict's three-game winning streak and took a 3-1 victory in SIAC men's volleyball action on Saturday afternoon in the Benjamin E. Mays HRC Arena.
Central State won 25-17, 25-15, 22-25, 25-17 to improve to 8-12 overall and 6-1 in the SIAC. Benedict falls to 6-12 overall and 4-4 in the SIAC.
Ras Jesse Delancy was dominant in a losing cause, recording 23 kills to go along with three blocks and three digs, while hitting .526. The rest of the Tigers combined for 12 kills and hit -.098.
Terran Walkin had 29 assists and
Clint Forbes recorded 11 digs.
The Tigers will close out the regular season of their inaugural men's volleyball program next Saturday at home in a 3 p.m. contest against Edward Waters.
