AUGUSTA, Ga. –
Cana Smith recorded 10 kills and hit .391 to help lead the Benedict women's volleyball team to a 3-0 non-conference victory over Paine College on Wednesday night.
Benedict won the match 25-13, 25-12, 25-18 to improve to 4-2 on the season. Paine falls to 0-6.
Smith also served three service aces and tied for the team lead with eight digs.
La'Jai Wilson had 15 assists, while
Jade Hollins added 11 assists and had eight digs.
Benedict is back in action on Saturday, taking on Lane College at 11 a.m. and then LeMoyne-Owen College at 3 p.m., while Allen University will take on Lane at 9 a.m. and LeMoyne-Owen at 1 p.m. in the Benjamin E. Mays HRC Arena.
