ALBANY, Ga. -- Benedict College held Albany State to 28 percent shooting, and the Lady Tigers snapped a five-game losing streak with an 81-60 victory over Albany State on Saturday afternoon in a SIAC women's basketball game.

Benedict placed five players in double figures.
Mahogany Randall led the Lady Tigers with 18 points.
Madison Golden scored 17 points, and
Amaya Ashby added 15 points.
Malayah Montgomery scored 13 points in her Benedict debut, while
Jazmin Grayson added 11 points.

The Lady Tigers hit a season-high 12 3-pointers, led by four from Ashby. The 81 points scored by Benedict was a season high.

Albany State jumped out to an early 12-4 lead, but the Lady Tigers rallied to outscore the Golden Rams 14-3 over the final 3:41 to take an 18-15 lead at the end of the first quarter.

After Albany State tied the game at 26 in the second quarter, Benedict went on another big run to take a 44-30 lead at the halftime break. Benedict increased the lead to as much as 19 points in the third quarter and kept a double-digit lead the entire second half.

Benedict improves to 4-11 overall and 2-7 in the SIAC. Albany State falls to 6-10 overall and 4-6 in the SIAC.
