COLUMBIA, SC. - The Benedict College Lady Tigers took down Fort Valley State 52-49 Saturday in the Benjamin E. Mays HRC Arena.
Jazmin Grayson hit a 3-pointer with 41 seconds left in the game to take the lead 49-48. Mahogany Randall sealed the game hitting 3-of-4 free throws in the final 24 seconds.
Randall scored a total of 10 points for the Lady Tigers, going 7-of-8 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter.
Taylor Christmas added 14 points while grabbing five rebounds.
Shakera Duncan grabbed eight rebounds for the Lady Tigers and added nine points.
The Lady Tigers are now 10-13 overall and 8-8 in the SIAC conference. Fort Valley drops to 4-14 overall and 4-11 in the SIAC conference.
The Lady Tigers are back in action with another conference matchup against Albany State at home on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
