MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Benedict College women's volleyball team won a pair of matches on Friday at the second SIAC Crossover.
The Lady Tigers started the day with a 3-1 victory over Miles College, then followed with a 3-0 sweep over Central State.
Benedict took a 25-17, 25-22, 26-28, 25-17 over Miles.
Desire' Young had 15 kills, while
T'yannah Lake added a career-high 15 kills, and had a double-double with 18 digs.
Willow Alls had a career-high 38 assists and added a career-high 15 digs for a double-double. Benedict also served 10 aces against Miles.
Against Central State, Benedict won 25-21, 26-24, 25-19. Freshman
Angelic Carter had a season-high seven kills and nine blocks (one solo, eight assisted). Alls had 14 aces and
Jadyn Murry added 12 assists. The Lady Tigers served up another 10 aces.
Benedict, now 9-5 overall and 5-4 in the SIAC, will wrap up the crossover with a match against Kentucky State at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
