FORT VALLEY, Ga. – The Benedict College women's basketball team scored a season-low 34 points as Fort Valley State took a 77-34 victory in a SIAC women's basketball contest on Saturday.
The Lady Tigers shot a season-low 18.2 percent, making 12-of-66 shots.
Fort Valley, now 12-8 overall and 10-5 in the SIAC, led from the start. The Lady Wildcats used an 18-2 run in the second quarter to build a 22-point lead, and took a 38-20 lead at the half. Benedict made just 1-of-11 shots in the third quarter as Fort Valley State built a 57-23 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
Alaysia Nash led Benedict with 10 points.
The Lady Tigers, now 3-20 overall and 1-15 in the SIAC, travel to face Albany State on Monday night.
