FAIRFIELD, Ala. – Miles College swept a SIAC baseball doubleheader over the Benedict College Tigers on Sunday.
Miles won the first game 12-2, holding the Tigers to three hits. Miles rallied to take the second game 6-5. In the second game, the Tigers came back from a 3-0 deficit to take a 4-3 lead in the sixth inning. Miles scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth for a 6-4 lead. Benedict scored a run in the seventh, and had the tying run on second base.
Benedict had six hits in the second game.
Kent Johnson drove in a pair of runs with a double in the sixth inning.
Jose Gil had an RBI double in the seventh inning.
Benedict (9-10 overall, 8-9 SIAC) and Miles (14-14 overall, 12-5 SIAC) will wrap up their three-game conference series with a single game at 1 p.m. on Monday.
