COLUMBIA, S.C. – Benedict College, the only remaining undefeated Division 2 HBCU team, moved up one spot in this week's edition of the HBCU D2 Football Coaches Poll, powered by BoxToRow.
Benedict, 4-0 overall, is now third in the poll of 18 HBCU D2 head coaches. The Tigers received three first-place votes and 131 total points.
Virginia Union continues to lead the poll followed by Albany State.
The Tigers are coming off a dominating 59-24 victory over Clark Atlanta last week. Benedict is averaging 52 points in its last two games.
Benedict is back home this week to take on rival Allen University at 2 p.m. from Charlie W. Johnson Stadium.
