COLUMBIA, S.C. – Benedict College, the only remaining undefeated Division 2 HBCU team, remained in third place in this week's edition of the HBCU D2 Football Coaches Poll, powered by BoxToRow.
Benedict, 6-0 overall, stayed in third in the poll of 18 HBCU D2 head coaches. The Tigers received five first-place votes and 146 total points.
Virginia Union continues to lead the poll followed by Albany State.
The Tigers are coming off a 14-7 victory over Fort Valley State. This week, the Tigers travel to face Edward Waters. The EWU Tigers (4-2) were fourth in last week's poll, but dropped to sixth following their 42-14 loss to Kentucky State, which moved up one spot to fifth.
