Benedict pulled away in the first set from a 14-14 tie with three consecutive points. Claflin cut the lead to 19-18, but the Lady Tigers scored three of the next four points for a 22-19 lead as Burgess and Desire' Young had kills. After a Benedict error gave Claflin the next point, the Lady Tigers closed out the set with the final three points. A kill by Troncoso closed out the set.

The Lady Tigers scored the first five points of the second set, and after a Claflin point, scored another six points for an 11-1 lead and cruised to the easy victory.

The third set was hotly contested. Benedict used a 3-0 run to pull ahead 15-13, but the Lady Panthers had a five-point run to take a 19-16 lead. With Claflin holding a 20-17 lead, the Lady Tigers scored the next four points to retake the lead, with Kylie Jackson scoring an ace to close out the spurt.

Claflin scored the next two points to pull ahead 22-21, but three straight Claflin errors gave Benedict a 24-22 lead. Claflin held off elimination by scoring on a Benedict error, but the Lady Tigers clinched the match on a Claflin error.
