COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College men's volleyball team won their third straight match, taking a 3-0 victory over Truett-McConnell in a non-conference match on Tuesday night in the Benjamin E. Mays HRC Arena.
Benedict won the match 25-16, 25-19, 25-12 to improve to 7-7 overall. Truett-McConnell falls to 7-8.
The Tigers finished with 12 blocks in the match, while hitting .300.
Zion Beckford led the Tigers with nine kills, while
De'Andrae Taylor had seven kills and three blocks.
Hakan Godoy had six kills, hit .714, and had a season-high five blocks.
Kendersley Marcellin had 27 assists, while also recording a team-best eight digs.
The Tigers are back in action on Wednesday night with a home match against Morehouse at 6 p.m. in the HRC Arena.
