Jared Brown had a career-high 15 kills as the Benedict College men's volleyball team defeated Morehouse College 3-0 on Wednesday night in the Benjamin E. Mays HRC Arena.
Benedict won the match 25-15, 25-20, 25-20 to improve to 8-7 overall and 3-4 in the SIAC. The Tigers have now won four straight matches, all in straight sets. Morehouse falls to 0-10 overall and 0-7 in the SIAC.
Brown hit a career-high .520, committing just two attack errors on 25 total attempts.
Zion Beckford added eight kills and
Hakan Godoy added seven kills.
Kendersley Marcellin had 34 assists and a team-high seven digs.
De'Andrae Taylor recorded five blocks and served three service aces.
Benedict and Morehouse will have a rematch on Friday in Atlanta at 6 p.m.
