ROME, Ga. – The Benedict College men's tennis team went 3-2 at the SIAC roundup in Rome, Ga.
The Tigers started the roundup with a 7-0 victory over Fort Valley State. After losing to Spring Hill 6-1, Benedict came back to defeat Morehouse 6-1 and LeMoyne-Owen 6-1. The Tigers wrapped up the roundup with a 4-2 loss to Tuskegee.
Benedict goes to 3-4 overall and 3-2 in the SIAC.
Anesu Kwirirai went 4-1 at the roundup, highlighted by a 6-5, 5-7, 10-5 victory over Morehouse's Jackson McIlwain.
Divgurjot Singh also went 4-1, including coming from behind in a tough three-set match against Tuskegee's Kevin Eutsey, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.
Munache Marume went 3-1 with one unfinished match.
The Tigers return to action with a road non-conference match against Converse on Tuesday.
