ROME, Ga. – The Benedict College women's tennis team went 3-2 at the SIAC women's tennis roundup.
The Lady Tigers dropped their first two matches of the roundup, falling to Albany State 5-2 and Tuskegee 6-1. Benedict rallied to win their next three matches, defeating Clark Atlanta 1-0 in a match that was never resumed after a rain delay, then beating Savannah State 5-2 and Spring Hill 5-2.
The Lady Tigers move to 4-4 overall and 4-2 in the SIAC.
Tanatswa Musabaeka scored Benedict's only point against Tuskegee, rallying after losing the first set 6-0 to defeat Leiloni Payton 0-6, 6-3, 10-6. She also had to rally to defeat Albany State's Julie Tungamirai 1-6, 6-3, 10-5. She went undefeated at the roundup, winning all five of her singles matches.
The Lady Tigers have a non-conference match at Converse College on Wednesday.
