COLUMBIA, S.C. – The 25
th-ranked Spring Hill College Badgers closed out their SIAC series with the Benedict Tigers with a 23-2 victory on Saturday.
Benedict was held to six hits in the game.
Jose Gil had a solo home run in the second inning.
Jacob Hall drew a bases-loaded walk in the sixth inning for Benedict's second run.
The Badgers, now 34-10 overall and 27-2 in the SIAC, scored four runs in the first and two in the second for a 6-0 lead. They had a 9-1 lead heading into the sixth inning, when they scored nine runs on just three hits, one a three-run homer. Benedict walked six batters and hit one during the inning. The Badgers added five more runs in the seventh.

The Tigers, now 19-16 overall and 15-14 in the SIAC, will travel to Sumter to play Morris in a non-conference doubleheader on Monday, with the first game starting at 2 p.m.
