COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Benedict College softball team saw the 2025 season come to an end on Monday, dropping two games at the 2025 Cricket SIAC Softball Championship at the South Commons Softball Complex.
In their first game, Tuskegee defeated Benedict 13-1.
That dropped Benedict into the loser's bracket, where Miles held off a late Benedict rally to take an 8-7 victory.
Benedict ends the season with an 18-22 record.
Against Tuskegee, Benedict was held to four hits.
T'yannah Lake went 2-for-2.
Tre'sor Eady went 1-for-2 and scored Benedict's only run on a sacrifice bunt by
Taylor Gilbert.
In the second game, Miles jumped out to an 8-0 lead heading into the fifth inning. The Lady Tigers scored six runs in the fifth inning as
Taylor Chambliss stole home, Eady had an RBI single,
Elisha Ramirez hit a bases-loaded double to score three runs, and later scored on a Miles error to cut the lead to 8-6.
Lake hit an RBI double in the sixth inning to cut the lead to 8-7, but that was as close as the Lady Tigers would get.
