ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Men's Volleyball Players of the Week on Tuesday, March 10, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in matches played last week.

Kaden Hoyte of Benedict College were recognized, giving the Tigers a sweep of the weekly awards.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – JARED BROWN, BENEDICT COLLEGE
Outside Hitter/Middle Blocker | Junior | St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands
The Tigers went 3-1 on the week, and Brown averaged 9.5 kills per set to lead the Tigers offensively. He hit .279. Brown recorded a season-high 12 kills in a three-set victory over Edward Waters on Friday, and matched the 12 kills in a 3-1 victory on Saturday over EWU. He also recorded 8 total blocks (4 solo, 4 assisted).
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – CAMERON LONG, BENEDICT COLLEGE
Libero/Defensive Specialist | Senior | Rock Hill, S.C.
Long had 35 total digs in four matches (8.75 digs per match) as the Tigers went 3-1 on the week, including a pair of SIAC victories over Edward Waters. Long wrapped up the week with a season-high 13 digs in a 3-1 victory over Edward Waters.
SETTER OF THE WEEK – KADEN HOYTE, BENEDICT COLLEGE
Right-Side Hitter/Setter | Sophomore | Bridgetown, Barbados
Hoyte played a big part in Benedict going 3-1 on the week, averaging 30.75 assists per match, and 8.8 per set. Hoyte had a then-season-high 29 assists in a 3-0 victory over Edward Waters on Friday, and then topped that with a new season-high 38 assists with a season-high 12 digs in a four-set win over EWU. For the week, he also contributed 6 kills, 25 digs and 5 assisted blocks.
