FAIRFIELD, Ala. – The Benedict College baseball team wrapped up the regular season with a 12-1 victory over Miles College on Saturday afternoon.
Jim Johnson pitched a complete-game four-hitter, scoring their only run on a two-out double in the sixth inning.
The Tigers scored three runs in the first inning and never looked back. Benedict had an 8-0 lead after the top of the sixth inning. Miles scored their only run in the bottom of the sixth, and the Tigers added four more runs in the seventh.
Joshua Medina went 3-for-4 with three RBIs.
Milton Herring went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, hitting an RBI double in the first inning and a solo home run in the fifth inning.
Jonathan Olmedo went 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
Benedict improves to 21-11 overall and 19-11 in the SIAC.
Benedict will advance to the 2026 SIAC Championship, which will take place April 30-May 3 at Luther Williams Field in Macon, Ga.
