COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College softball team wrapped up the 2026 season on Saturday with a pair of convincing victories over Morris College.
The Lady Tigers won the first game 16-0, then took the second game 9-0, with both games stopped after five innings.
In the first game,
Alaina Harvey had a bases-loaded double that drove in three runs. She finished with four RBIs. She also picked up the win in the circle, pitching all five innings, allowing just two hits and struck out eight.
Hope Gunn drove in three runs, including a two-run triple.
In the second game, the Lady Tigers scored nine runs on just three hits.
Shamaria Dupree had an RBI triple and pitched all five innings for her first victory in the circle, striking out three and did not walk a batter.
The Lady Tigers recognized and honored three seniors –
Taylor Chambliss,
Kayla Hunt and
Myia Lambert.
Benedict finished the season with a 13-32 record.
