COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College Tigers moved up two spots in one national poll and made their first appearance of the season in another, as the two national NCAA Division II football polls were released this week.
Following Saturday's 24-20 victory over Shorter College, the Tigers moved up two spots to No. 20 in the D2football.com media poll.
After receiving votes in last week's American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) poll, the Tigers made their debut at No. 21.
Benedict, now 2-0, is off this week and will resume action on Sept. 19 when they travel to take on Fort Valley State.
