Benedict Women's Basketball Picked To Finish Second

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its 2015-16 women's basketball preseason Players of the Year and predicted order of finish, during Media Day on Tuesday at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Tucker, Ga.
 
The Benedict College Lady Tigers were picked to finish second in the East Division, picking up three first-place votes. Albany State, the defending SIAC women's champion, was picked to finish first with eight first-place votes. Kentucky State was picked to finish first in the West Division.
 
Benedict senior forward KaDeeja Vaughn was named to the preseason All-Conference team.
 
Albany State's Artisha Holston was named the SIAC preseason Player of the Year, while Brittnee Hazel of Fort Valley State was named the preseason Defensive Player of the Year.
