ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Women's Basketball Players of the Week on Tuesday, Jan. 27, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week.
Aaliyah Lawrence (Benedict) and Samarian Franklin (Miles) were recognized.

Lawrence had a big week to help Benedict go 2-1. In a close one-point loss to Edward Waters, Lawrence led Benedict with 21 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals. In a victory over Central State, Lawrence scored a team-high 15 points, grabbed 9 rebounds, had 4 steals and 1 block. Then in a victory over Kentucky State, Lawrence scored 12 points, while grabbing 7 rebounds, 3 steals and a block. For the week, Lawrence averaged 16 points on .306 shooting, 8 rebounds, 3 steals and 1.3 blocks.
