COLUMBIA, S.C. – Edward Waters used a two-run homer in the first game and a two-run homer in the second game to sweep a doubleheader over the Benedict College softball team on Wednesday afternoon at King Park.
Lauren Eaker hit a two-run homer in the second inning of the first game, a 4-1 victory. Alneisha Williams hit a two-run homer to break a 2-2 tie in the top of the seventh inning for a 4-2 victory.
Benedict fell to 7-20 on the season.
Benedict took a 2-0 lead in the second game.

Edward Waters scored an unearned run in the fourth and tied the game with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning. With two outs in the seventh inning, Williams blasted a shot over the right field fence for a 4-2 lead.
Cecelia Lykes had two hits in the first game, while Kelly had two hits in the second game.
Benedict travels to Augusta this weekend for a conference three-game series against Paine.
