COLUMBIA, S.C. – Point University shot a sizzling 60.7 percent from the floor to take a 104-98 victory over Benedict College in an exhibition men's basketball game on Thursday night in the Benjamin E. Mays HRC Arena.
While the game was an exhibition for the Tigers, the game was a countable contest for the Skyhawks, who improved to 3-11 on the season.
Point had just seven players on the roster, and five reached double figures. Taboris Griggs led Point with 30 points.
Davante Wiltshire led the Tigers with 27 points. 
DeShawn Graham added 19 points.
Benedict had as much as an eight-point lead, 29-21, midway through the first half. The Tigers had a 48-45 lead at the half. Point scored the first five points of the second half to take the lead, 50-48. After Graham gave the Tigers a 53-52 lead on a 3-pointer, the Skyhawks took the lead for good on a 3-pointer. Point used a 12-point run late in the half to build a 93-75 lead with 4:22 left to play.
Benedict (1-8 overall, 0-2 in the SIAC) returns to action on Monday with a road trip to take on Spring Hill College in a conference matchup.
