COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College softball team swept a doubleheader from Winston-Salem State University on Tuesday afternoon.
Benedict rallied with three runs in the seventh inning to win the first game 10-9. The Lady Tigers broke away from a 5-5 tie with two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and went on to take a 7-6 victory in the second game.
Benedict improves to 8-2 on the season. Winston-Salem State drops to 0-9.
The Lady Tigers are back in action on Tuesday with a home doubleheader against Livingstone College at 1 p.m.
