ALBANY, Ga. – Albany State swept a doubleheader from Benedict College in a SIAC softball doubleheader on Saturday.
Albany State won the first game 6-4 by scoring four runs in the last two innings. The Golden Rams took the second game 6-2 as Glory Seay hit a pair of home runs.
Starkeira Daniel went 3-for-3 with three RBIs in the first game.
Marshallnae Bell drove in Benedict's other run.
In the second game, the Lady Tigers fell behind 3-0 in the first inning on a three-run homer by Seay.
Erika Dargan had a solo homer for the Lady Tigers.
Tandreanna Conyers went 2-for-2 and
Zanila Booker drove in a run.
Benedict (11-13 overall, 4-4 SIAC) and Albany State (12-21 overall, 9-2 SIAC) will meet for the third game in the conference series on Sunday at 1 p.m.
