ROCK HILL, S.C. – The quarterfinals are set to begin Wedneday as the Benedict College Lady Tigers look to advance in the SIAC conference tournament against the Paine College Lady Lions starting at 5:45 p.m. inside the Rock Hill Sports & Event Center.

The top-seeded and 12th-ranked Lady Tigers have won four of their previous five games and currently sit second in the nation in rebounding margin (13.3). In their first matchup, Ayanna Armstead totaled 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field, while also bringing down eight rebounds. Bey led Benedict with 18 points and 10 rebounds in their second meeting.

Fifth-seeded Paine College (8-17) finished the regular season losing five straight and seven of their previous eight games. Although the Lady Lions have experienced their share of struggles this season, they performed very well in the first round of the conference tournament, defeating Spring Hill College 71-55, a team they had lost to back on January 4th.

Paine has been led by first team all-conference junior forward Keondra Archie, who is averaging 15.17 points per game, on 41.84 percent shooting, while also bringing down 6.17 rebounds per game. Archie had a game-high 17 points and also had seven rebounds in Paine's win over Spring Hill in the first round of the tournament.
