COLUMBIA, S.C. – Benedict College junior
Aaliyah Lawrence has been named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Lawrence is a junior political science major with a 3.55 GPA.
On the court, she averaged 9.7 points per game, and 7.3 rebounds per game per game, which ranked seventh-best in the league. She also ranked sixth in the SIAC with 1.0 blocks per game.
She helped anchor the nation's No. 1 rebounding team (46.75 RPG) and was central to Benedict's transformation from improving their winning percentage from .333 in 2025-25 to .679.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
