FRANKFURT, Ky. –
Asanti Price scored a career-high 27 points, and
Marshaun West scored a career-high 21 points as the Benedict College Tigers rolled to a 103-83 victory over Kentucky State in a SIAC men's basketball contest on Monday night.
Tim Moore added 14 points and
Malachi McCoy had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
The Tigers improve to 8-0 overall and 4-0 in the SIAC. Kentucky State falls to 2-3 overall and 0-2 in the SIAC.
The 103 points was a season-high for the Tigers, who made a season-high 23 free-throws and shot a season-best 82.1 percent (23-of-28) from the line.
Benedict scored the first 10 points of the game and never trailed. The Tigers had a 14-point lead, 48-34, at the half. Benedict had as much as a 32-point lead, 93-61, with 5:18 left in the game.
The Tigers travel to take on Mars Hill next Monday, Dec. 11, at 6 p.m.
