COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Clark Atlanta swept the Benedict College softball team in a SIAC three-game series at Tiger Field.

Clark Atlanta won a doubleheader on Saturday, taking the first game 6-5 and the second game 8-6. The Lady Panthers won the final game of the three-game series 16-7 on Sunday to improve to 18-19 overall and 10-12 in the SIAC. Benedict falls to 19-24 overall and 10-11 in the SIAC.

Tre'sor Eady led the Tigers with four RBIs after hitting a home run in the fifth inning.
Deyonce Lewis added two RBIs.

Taylor McNeal had three stolen bases, giving her 53 for the season, breaking the previous record of 52 held by Coach Brianna Billie. Lewis also had four stolen bases.

Clark Atlanta scored seven runs in the first inning and added three more runs in the second for a 10-2 lead. The Lady Panthers increased their lead to 16-3 in the fourth before the Lady Tigers pushed across four runs in the fifth inning.

In Saturday's first game,
Tanijah Washington had two hits and two RBIs. Clark Atlanta took the lead in the third inning on a three-run home run. In the second game, Clark Atlanta jumped out to an 8-2 lead. Benedict cut the lead with four runs in the bottom of the sixth, getting an RBI single by
Chesney Miller, an RBI double by
Taylor Wilson and a two-run single by
Taylor McNeal.

Benedict will be back in action on Tuesday at Paine in Augusta for a non-conference doubleheader at 1 p.m.
