MOBILE, Ala. – The eighth-ranked Benedict College Tigers held Spring Hill to 27 second-half points and rolled to a 97-69 victory on Thursday night.
The Tigers had a 56-42 lead at the half, and then outscored the Badgers 41-27 in the second half to improve to 11-0 on the season, and 6-0 in the SIAC. Spring Hill falls to 6-7 overall and 3-4 in the SIAC.
Asanti Price led the Tigers with 23 points as the Tigers had six players in double figures.
Marshaun West had 18 points,
Malachi McCoy had 15,
Tim Moore scored 14 points, while
Brandon Beidleman added 12 points and
Calvin McCutcheon chipped in 10 points.
The Tigers shot 52.2 percent (36-of-69) from the floor, while holding the Badgers to 32.8 percent shooting (22-of-67), including 29 percent in the second half.
Benedict continues its Alabama road trip and is back in action on Saturday afternoon to take on Tuskegee.
