COLUMBIA, S.C. –
Taj Bates hit a two-run homer in the 10th inning to lift the Benedict College Tigers to a 6-4 victory over Kentucky State on Sunday in a SIAC baseball contest.
The Tigers tied the game at 4-4 in the bottom of the ninth on a solo home run by
Jose Gil.
Preston Hall-Pointer came on in relief to pick up the win on the mound, going the final five innings and allowing just two hits.
The Tigers improve to 9-8 overall and 8-7 in the SIAC.
Benedict travels to take on Miles in a three-game SIAC series, with a doubleheader on Sunday and a single game on Monday, March 25.
