Morehouse Edges Benedict, 2-1

ATLANTA, Ga. – Morehouse College scored a run in the bottom of the eighth inning to take a 2-1 victory over Benedict in a SIAC baseball game on Friday.
 
Morehouse led off the bottom of the eighth with a single, stole second, and scored on a one-out single.
 
Benedict had runners on first and second with two outs in the top of the ninth, but couldn't bring them home.
 
Morehouse scored the game's first run in the second inning on one hit and a Benedict error.
 
The Tigers tied the game in the third inning on a solo home run by Kent Johnson.
 
Benedict (9-12 overall, 8-11 SIAC) and Morehouse (13-20 overall, 6-13 SIAC) will wrap up their conference series with a doubleheader on Saturday, starting at 1 p.m.
