COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College women's cross country team won the Tigers Cross Country Classic on Wednesday afternoon at Owens Field Park.
The Lady Tigers scored 30 points to beat Allen (34 points), and Savannah State (56 points).
Caren Kipkoech finished fourth overall with a time of 22:00.34 over the 5K course.
Mercy Kwambai was sixth overall with a time of 24:43.64, while
Destinee Tiller was right behind with a time of 26:18.94.
Jordan Tanksley was 12
th with a time of 28:02.26.
Raven Johnson wrapped up Benedict's finishers with a time of 33:42.53.
The men's team had just one competitor.
William Fennoy finished fourth with a time of 22:00.13 over the 5K course.
The cross country teams will compete in the SIAC Championship on Oct. 24 in Macon, Ga.
