COLUMBIA, S.C. – Benedict's Bravin Bor won the Allen University Yellow Jacket Invitational on Friday morning at Owens Field Park, finishing the 5K course in a time of 17:30.
 
The Tigers finished third in the three-team field, behind Columbia College and host Allen.
 
Bethwel Kibet finished ninth overall with a time of 19:41.20. Nicholas Kibet finished 16^th with a time of 22:15.50, while Kevin Cheruiyot was 17^th with a time of 22:20.20. William Fennoy rounded out Benedict's runners, finishing 20^th with a time of 30:25.80.
 
The Lady Tigers had just three runners compete in the women's race.
 
Caren Kipkoech finished 10^th overall with a time of 24:41.90, while Mercy Kwambai finished 18^th with a time of 31:01.80 and Destinee Tiller was 19^th with a time of 31:31.30.
 
The Benedict teams will run again at the Susan Rouse Invitational, hosted by Southern Wesleyan University in Central, S.C., on Sept. 18.
