COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College Tigers held the Spring Hill Badgers scoreless for nearly the first 10 minutes of the second half and ran away with a 69-55 victory in a SIAC men's basketball game on Wednesday night in the Benjamin E. Mays HRC Arena.
Benedict held a 34-32 lead at the half. In the second half, the Badgers missed their first 15 field goal attempts.
Spring Hill missed 15 field goals to open the second half, 12 of which were 3-point attempts. Benedict scored the first 12 points of the second half for a 46-32 lead before the Badgers ended their scoring drought with a pair of free throws with 10:07 left in the game. The Tigers built a 23-point lead, 58-36, before the Badgers scored a field goal, coming with just under six minutes left in the game.
Benedict improves to 4-3 overall and 4-3 in the SIAC. Spring Hill fell to 1-9 overall and 1-5 in the SIAC.
The Tigers placed three players in double figures, with
Kameron Foman scoring 13 points, while
Landon Jeffries added 12 points and
Cole White scored 11 points and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
Benedict wraps up their 2025 portion of the schedule on Friday, hosting Albany State at 7:30 p.m. before taking their holiday break.
