COLUMBIA, S.C. – Coker College swept a doubleheader over Benedict College in non-conference softball action on Wednesday at Tiger Field.
Coker (4-2) scored 10 runs in the sixth inning to capture the first game, 18-2. The Cobras then blanked Benedict 10-0 in the second game on a no-hitter.
The Lady Tigers were held to one hit in the first game, and combined to commit nine errors.
Alexis Gatlin had a single in the first game. The Lady Tigers scored two runs in the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly and a passed ball.
The Lady Tigers open SIAC play on Saturday with a doubleheader at Fort Valley State.
