Box Score FORT VALLEY, Ga. – Marcus Goode matched his season high of 26 points and pulled down a season-high 17 rebounds as the Benedict College Tigers defeated Fort Valley State 74-48 on Saturday in a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference basketball game.

Lamar Adkins added 13 points and six rebounds, all in the first half, as the Tigers won their fifth straight game. Benedict improved to 16-6 overall and 12-2 in the SIAC.

Benedict held Fort Valley State to just 28 percent shooting in the game.

The Tigers are home to take on Morehouse in a conference showdown on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Morehouse is undefeated in conference play and beat Benedict by three points when they met in Atlanta on Jan. 26.
