COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College women's team won two matches on the first day of the SIAC Tennis Roundup.
The Lady Tigers opened play with a 9-0 victory over LeMoyne-Owen, then took a 9-0 victory over Albany State.
Against LeMoyne-Owen, Benedict won two doubles matches and five singles matches, with two matches won by default.
Glory Zhou took a 7-5, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles over Alesha Humphrey.
Against Albany State, Benedict dropped just one game in the three doubles matches, and won every singles match in straight sets.
