COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College women's tennis team did not drop a set in winning all three matches on the first day of the SIAC Tennis Roundup.
The Lady Tigers opened the roundup with a 9-0 victory over Spring Hill College. Benedict cruised to a 5-0 victory over Fort Valley State and finished the day with an 8-0 victory over Albany State.
Benedict improves to 5-3 overall and 3-0 in the SIAC. The Lady Tigers play three more matches on Friday at the Columbia Tennis Center. Benedict takes on LeMoyne-Owen at 8:30 a.m., Clark Atlanta at 12:30 p.m. and Lane College at 3:30 p.m.
Other SIAC matches will be played at The Woodlands, Greenview Park and Southeast Park. The tournament will continue on Saturday.
