COLUMBIA, S.C. -- The Benedict College track & field teams teamed up with the University of South Carolina track teams this weekend, assisting at the Youth & High School Under Armour South Carolina Challenge meet.

The Benedict and USC student-athletes paired up and assisted with this big competition of talented youths. They were responsible for assisting with clerking, marking field events and counting laps during the competition.

"I really think this was a good experience for our student-athletes," said Benedict head coach Frank Hyland. "I always talk about giving back, and they jumped right in and did that this past Saturday. It was an amazing event. I would like to thank USC Coach Curtis Frye and Andrew Allden for giving us the opportunity to be a part of that event."
