COLUMBIA, S.C. – Fresh off their SIAC championship, the Benedict College women's basketball team moved up two spots in this week's WBCA Coaches Poll to 10
th in the country.
The Lady Tigers are now 27-3 on the season heading to this week's NCAA Tournament, where they will take on 20
th-ranked Tampa in the opening round. Benedict received 345 total points, one point behind ninth-place Texas A&M – Commerce, and 21 points ahead of 11
th-place Adelphi, which fell from No. 8 in last week's poll.
Lee University, which will host the South Region tournament in Cleveland, Tenn., is ranked 13
th after being ranked 11
th last week.
Undefeated Drury continues to stay on top of the poll, followed by undefeated Ashland at No. 2.
