CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Benedict College women's cross country team finished 16^th in a large and talented field at the Royals Cross County Challenge, hosted by Queens University at McAlpine Park on Friday.

Floma Okumu led the Lady Tigers with a personal-best time of 20:58 and a 39th place finish. Naila Harris ran a season-best time of 22:30 to finish 101st overall, while Eilika Lane finished 102th with a personal-best time of 22:32. Sherona Stewart finished 118th with a season-best time of 23:11. Lydia Kosgel finished 130th with a time of 23:41.

The Lady Tigers will prepare for the SIAC Championship on Oct. 22 at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, S.C.
