MACON, Ga. – The Benedict College women's cross country team had their two-year reign as SIAC champions snapped on Wednesday, finishing fourth in the 2024 SIAC Championship in Macon. Ga.
Albany State won the championship with 40 points, followed by Tuskegee and Central State. Benedict finished fourth with 144 points, topping Spring Hill by two points.
Mercy Kwambai was Benedict's top finisher, crossing the 5K course in 21:42.89, good for 16
th place overall.
Megan Thompson was 21
st with a time of 22:15.14. Kaya Evans was 28
th with a time of 22:59.42.
Torriann Noad finished 36th with a time of 23:51.22. Ciara Hardy finished 43
rd with a time of 24:55.63.
Lydia Kosgei finished 67
th with a time of 26:55.68, while Jordan Tanksley finished 76th with a time of 28:42.90.
