COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College women's indoor track & field team competed at the Carolina Challenge over the weekend at the South Carolina Indoor Track & Field Complex and came away with some personal-best performances.
Jane Kiborus also ran a personal best time of 11:18 in the 3000-meter run and a personal best in the 5000-meter run with a time of 19:21, finishing ninth overall.
Savionna Glover ran a personal best in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.89. She finished 19th overall.
Kyra Buffen jumped a personal best in the long jump with a jump of 5.16 meters (16 feet, 11 inches).
Aanya Howard jumped 1.55 meters (5 feet, 1 inch) in the high jump, where she finished 10th overall.
Kristion Jeffries finished 14th in high jump with a jump of 1.50 meters (4 feet, 11 inches).
Santiona Freeman ran a personal best time of 9.48 in the 60-meter hurdles, and finished 13th.
Kaciann Cowan also ran a personal best in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.86. She finished 20th overall.
The women's 4x400-meter relays team (
Eilika Lane,
Kassie Jordan,
Charity Williams and
Jada David) ran a season-best time of 4:02 and finished 15th overall.
The track teams return to the South Carolina Indoor Track & Field Complex this weekend to compete in the South Carolina Invitational.
